Yes — every competition has a free postal entry route with an equal chance of winning. Full instructions are on the Free Entry page. No purchase is ever necessary, and free entries go into the same draw, with the same chance of winning, as paid entries.

No. Our competitions are prize competitions — not a lottery or a free prize draw — so to enter you answer a question. Because our questions are straightforward, the free entry route (no purchase necessary, equal chance of winning) is always available so everyone can take part.

If you answer the question incorrectly you won’t be entered into the draw, and entry fees are not refunded. You’re welcome to try again. Remember you can also enter for free by post.

You can enter as many times as you wish, up to any limit we specify and subject to the maximum number of entries. Whilst this isn’t gambling, we still urge you to keep it fun and not spend more than you can afford.

Everyone who answers the question correctly (including free entrants) is entered into the draw, and the winner is chosen at random from all the correct entries. We use a provably-fair commit-reveal draw — the seed is locked in public before entries open — so anyone can independently verify the result, which we publish on our Winners page.

We’ll notify the winner by telephone or email within 7 days of the closing date, using the details on your account — so keep them up to date. If we can’t reach you, or you haven’t claimed within 14 days of the draw date, we reserve the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant.

Yes. There is no minimum number of entries: every advertised prize is drawn and awarded on the closing date regardless of how many entries sell. We never cancel or withhold a draw because of low sales, never extend a closing date to sell more, and never substitute a percentage of the takings.

The opening and closing dates are shown on each competition page. We only change them if we genuinely have to for reasons outside our control, and we never extend a closing date just to sell more entries.

The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom only who are 18 years or older. You also can’t enter if you’re a relative of any of our suppliers. Only one account per person is permitted.

The prizes are described fully on each competition page. If a prize is unavailable for any reason, we reserve the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or higher value. Where a cash alternative is offered, it is shown on the competition page.

If you’re the winner, the prize is yours — you can do whatever you wish with it, including selling it. Where offered, you can also choose the cash alternative instead.

The maximum number of entries is stated on each competition, so your chances vary from competition to competition. For example, if entries are capped at 3,000 and you hold one correct entry, your chances are no worse than 1 in 3,000; ten correct entries make it no worse than 1 in 300. We say “no worse than” because some people get the answer wrong, which improves the odds for correct entries. Free postal entries carry exactly the same odds as paid ones.

When you win, a “claim your prize” card appears in your account. Choose the prize or, where offered, the cash alternative, and give us your delivery or bank details. We may verify your identity, age (18+) and UK residence before handing over a prize.

We don’t offer refunds of entry fees if you get the answer wrong or are disqualified for any reason. If a line in your basket sells out before we can allocate it, that line is automatically refunded; and in the rare event we have to cancel a competition for reasons genuinely outside our control, every paid entry is refunded in full.

We use your data to administer the competition and award prizes, as set out in our Privacy Policy. If you’re the winner, we may have to share your details with the Advertising Standards Authority to confirm we administered the competition and awarded the prize fairly.

No — this is not compulsory and declining won’t affect your prize. With your permission, we’d love to share your win on our website and social media. Even if you’d rather not take part, we may still have to provide your details to the Advertising Standards Authority to prove the competition was administered properly.
